  1. More Miranda! Loved this piece. Very insightful, and it really speaks to me (I pick her every time with my main Shepard.)

  2. I was finally able to read this! I truly enjoyed your outlook on her personality and sort of dissecting who she is within this series.

Anytime I play a male Shep she's my LI as well (and I was disappointed when they nixed her as an LI for the femShep). I find her character has some of the most depth for the fact you have to chip away at her defenses in order for her to open up. It makes it feel a bit more real when you're attempting to learn who she is. If you're not persistent, then you never glean any sort of information that lets you see her as an actual person than the arrogant ice queen you see from the start.

I think another one of her most telling instances is the stark difference between her attitude in the beginning of ME2 to the very end. She adamantly defends Cerberus and the Illusive Man and is willingly following his rule. Yet once you make a habit of speaking with her and the more she sees and experiences through the game, it's like the illusion in front of her is no more. By the end (if she's a part of your team) when you decide to scrap or save the Reaper, she cuts the Illusive Man off over the comm if you choose the paragon option. To me it's obvious there were emotions, thoughts, etc in play that led her to believe in what Shepard stood for and see that not everything Cerberus had a hand in was beneficial.

Like you, I could probably go on and perhaps sometimes I think of these things a little too much, lol. I truly wished she would have been more integral in ME3. I was really disappointed in that.

    1. Thanks. I've always thought she was a deeper character than many realise and I'd love to be able to romance her as FemShep, as for ME3 more time with her would have been really nice. Hopefully she'll be in some future DLC.

  3. She's the only romance that really fit with my MaleShep's sense of duty, so she's my only frame of reference, but she certainly showed a lot of emotion when you run into her again in ME3.

    So I guess that's a huge plus.
